Sprint Pushing Android 4.0 To The Samsung Nexus S 4G

Sprint announced that it will start pushing Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to the Samsung Nexus S 4G. The update will be delivered in waves over the course of the next month. It can be downloaded over-the-air and installed without plugging in to a computer. Android 4.0 will bring a significant number of new features and tools to the Nexus S 4G. Users will be notified when their device is ready for the update.

The Nexus brand has taken quite a bit of a hit over the recent few weeks, with Google failing to provide what we have all considered the defining feature for the handsets (quick and timely updates).

Google Tweaks Wallet for Select Android Phones

Google has released a minor update to Google Wallet, its mobile payment tool. The updates include user interface changes, improved management of Citi Mastercards, and more flexible prepaid card top-ups. The update is compatible with the Sprint Nexus S 4G and unlocked versions of the Galaxy Nexus running with AT&T SIM cards. The updated software is free.

Nexus S Ice Cream Sandwich Update Rumored To Be Starting Up Again

Wondering when you'll finally get to enjoy a tasty bite of Ice Cream Sandwich? Google is not abandoning you, and that an official Android 4.0 update for last year's Nexus is expected to drop in the next few weeks -- for reals this time. Nexus S 4G Gets a treat with Ice Cream Sandwich ROMs

If you’re the proud owner of a Nexus S 4G and you’re craving a taste of Ice Cream Sandwich, then tonight you just may very well get your just desserts!  Just in time for the new year, some crafty developers have compiled a pair of working Ice Cream Sandwich ROMs for Sprint’s lone purebred Google phone.

Offering a near-stock Android 4.0 experience, AOSP 4.0.3 brings face lock, beam and every other ICS feature to your Nexus S 4G. If you’re looking for something different, there’s also a port of the latest MIUI ROM that plays nice with the Nexus S 4G. Everything appears to be working fine with this ROM with the exception of WiMAX, which doesn’t matter to a fair share of you anyway.

Google Employees testing Nexus S Ice Cream Sandwich?

With Google’s Galaxy Nexus currently out of the picture, we’re left to wonder what will be the Now Network’s first device to taste sweet Ice Cream Sandwich? We can all speculate as much as we want, but your name doesn’t have to be Captain Obvious to figure that it will most likely be the Nexus S 4G. A recent string of tweets from a Google employee has all but confirmed that Google is already working on such a treat.

According to Android Police, the folks from Mountain View have been taking their work home. Before you start feeling sorry for Google’s employees, it should be noted that their assignment is said to be troubleshooting an over-the-air Ice Cream Sandwich push for the Nexus S.
