The Samsung Galaxy S4 wireless charging kit is now available directly through Samsung’s accessory store, be prepared to shell out $90. The Samsung Galaxy S4 needs both a charging cover and the charging pad. The back cover runs $39.99, while the pad will cost $49.99. If there is one added bonus to the charging pad, it’s the fact that it should work with all Qi-certified wireless charging products.

Nexus 4 Wireless Charging Orb Now Available






We’ve been waiting for the wireless charging orb for the Nexus 4 to hit the Google Play Store, today is your lucky day. Google has finally listed the accessory in the Google Play Store, and you can walk away with it for just $60. With it, you’ll be able to prop your Nexus 4 up in horizontal or vertical orientation and have your device charge just as effectively as it would via USB.

There’s not much else to the thing aside from its ability to charge your phone and make it look good at the same time, but the convenience of being able to plop your phone down without having to fiddle around with flimsy USB connections is a treat.

Samsung Reveals Wireless Charging Kit For Galaxy S III



Samsung has revealed the wireless charging kit for the Galaxy S III, a combination of a new battery cover for the third-gen flagship smartphone, and a desk cradle. Set to add the wireless power capabilities we loved from Palm’s webOS models to a far more appealing Android device, the optional kit will allow Galaxy S III owners to cut another cord.
Cord cutting has been a pretty common theme in Samsung’s Galaxy S III announcement. The company is also pushing AllShare, its wireless media streaming technology both AllShare Cast, which sends out content from the phone, and AllShare Play, which can access content stored on other devices worldwide for playback and editing and will be opening up the technology to developers too.
Technical specifications for the wireless charger kit have not been released, so it’s unclear whether it will recharge the Galaxy S III at the same rate as a regular microUSB connection. Based on our experience with third-party inductive chargers, there’s usually a penalty involved in terms of time, but the convenience of dropping your phone into a cradle generally outweighs that.
Pricing is yet to be confirmed, but the Wireless Charging Kit is one of several accessories for the Galaxy S III shown off today.

2013 Dodge Dart Will Feature Wireless Charging



Today Chrysler announced that it would offer in-vehicle wireless chargers. The device, which comes out of Chrysler’s aftermarket division, Mopar, will be available for the 2013 Dodge Dart, which will debut in the second half of 2012. The accessory feature will retail for $199 plus installation. When installed, it is seamlessly integrated into the bin that sits in front of the center console, underneath the head unit and climate controls in the center stack. The unit will come with a special phone case that will allow your device to be charged whenever the vehicle is on.

Samsung Galaxy S III Might Come Standard With Wireless Charging

DDaily is reporting that the SGSIII might well have a proprietary inductive charging system -- a la on the now-defunct Palm line of phones -- included as the stock back. (Or it might be optional. DDaily's not sure.) It also would have some sort of magic that would let it charge without actually touching the charging pad. This isn’t just any wireless charging tech, mind you, allegedly it’s a technology developed by Samsung that allows you to charge the phone from as far as two meters away (6.5 feet). Seems pretty futuristic to us, considering that most “wireless” charging stations require a special battery case and charging mat, but a company named Fulton has already proved it is possible with its eCoupled technology. But we're still a long way out here, and there's a better than average chance that things will shift by the time anything's announced.
