Google Working On Nexus Q Replacement

google-media-player
An FCC filing suggests that Google may be working on a new streaming media player to replace the Nexus Q, the device Google announced, shipped to pre order customers free of charge and then withdrew from the market.

The Nexus Q was a $300 device that streamed only a limited amount of content to a TV, so was a tough sell against alternative approaches like an Xbox or Apple TV box. There are unfortunately no clues as as to how this new device might differ from the Q.
