In a new study conducted by J.D. Power and Associates, Apple ranked highest among smartphones manufacturers in customer satisfaction for the seventh consecutive time. The study took into account factors such as performance, ease of operation, physical design and features. One of the biggest factors found to affect customer satisfaction was battery performance, particularly the length of battery life before recharging is required, the survey said. And unsurprisingly, according to Kirk Parsons, senior director of wireless service at J.D Power and Associates, “smartphone owners who are highly satisfied with their device’s battery life are more likely to repurchase the same brand of smartphone.” Out of 1,000 possible points, Apple finished with a score of 839, with HTC the only other manufacturer coming above the Industry Average at 798. Samsung (769), Motorola (758) and RIM (733) fell in at the No. 3, 4 and 5 spots, respectively.
