It’s Called The Samsung Galaxy Camera

It’s called the Galaxy Camera and AT&T just announced that it’s going to carry it “in the coming weeks.” The camera runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (the latest version), and sports a 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, a 4.8-inch HD Super Clear LCD display, AllShare, Share Shot, Buddy Share and much more. The best part? It runs Android applications, which means you can snap awesome 16-megapixel photos and quickly send them off to Instagram, Facebook or to a friend via e-mail no matter where you are.

Neither Samsung nor AT&T detailed pricing for the camera yet, but in our hands-on time with the device we found it much better than the shooters on most smartphones. So, if you still like carrying a point and shoot and want the ability to quickly upload images, the Galaxy Camera should be right up your alley.

Oh, and about that 4G connection, AT&T didn’t specifically say it supports LTE. Our gut reaction right now is that it’s an HSPA+ device but we’ve reached out to AT&T for clarification.
