Maintenance Update For Motorola Droid 4

Verizon Wireless has revealed the details of a system update for the Motorola Droid 4. The update does not bump the phone to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but provides a number of tweaks and fixes to the phone's performance. Some of the improvements include better battery life, better Wi-Fi performance, more reliable visual voicemail and messaging notifications, and fewer device lockups. The update can be downloaded and installed over the air. Verizon will push the update out over the next few weeks, though users can initiate the update on their own.

Verizon's Droid 4 Finally Official

Verizon's Droid 4 is finally here and its running Android 2.3.5 with an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade coming later. As with most phones these days, it strikes a slim profile for a QWERTY slider -- it's only half an inch thick -- but Moto managed to squeeze a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of memory underneath its 4-inch qHD display. Naturally, it runs on Verizon's LTE network, and has an 8 megapixel camera capable of 1080p video. Unfortunately, pricing remains a mystery even though the handset is scheduled to hit store shelves in the coming weeks.

Official Motorola Droid 4 specs surface

Motorola Droid 4, again, already? Yikes to all who recently purchased a Motorola Droid 3, but official specs on the Motorola Droid 4 have come to light. Droid-Life received a tip containing all the information about the device, and it seems like quite a spec machine.

This 4G LTE device will feature a 4-inch display, powered by a 1.2GHz processor, the style of the Droid RAZR and a slide out 5 row QWERTY keyboard with LED edge lighting for the keys. The device features an 8MP camera on the back an HD camera on the front, and requires a special tool to remove the battery door? Just like we are unsure of how we feel abou the need for a special tool to pop the battery door off, we are also unsure of pricing and release time frame.
